LGA Furniture testing laboratory of TÜV Rheinland (Guangdong) Ltd. is a member of the global TÜV Rheinland Group. We provide tests, certification, inspection and other services for consumer goods, especially furniture, that are intended for the world's markets, namely Europe and North America. LGA and the companies of TÜV Rheinland Group work independently and impartially for all sectors of business, as well as for private and public clients. The services mainly involve testing and examination, certification and training.

LGA, which has a history of more than 140 years, is headquartered in Nuremberg, Germany, and employs 400 staff members distributed amongst 17 branches in Germany and Asia. On 1st January 2007, TÜV Rheinland Holding purchased 100% of LGA Holding's shares. We now have a joint force of skilled staff and a close network of branches on different continents.

In 2005, TÜV Rheinland set up its first furniture testing facilities in Guangzhou to meet increased demand for furniture safety testing. Since 2008, we have also provided LGA testing services. The LGA furniture laboratory in Guangzhou offers a broad range of testing and certification services for European markets and, as an authorized member of the BIFMA, we provide testing services according to ANSI/BIFMA standards for office and institutional furniture heading for North American markets. We also offer testing in line with the US's first mandatory furniture standards, the 16 CFRs for bunk beds and baby cribs, for which we expect to be recognized by the CPSC in the second half of 2009.
